My V reg 1.9 tdi alhambra's power steering belt needed changing, which my friend has done. He showed me the toothed nut that grips onto the adjusting plate. it was really worn but filed it a little for more grip. Anyway what is the name of this nut?? Explaned to seat dealership and they dont know what i mean. Its a nut with loads of teeth on it.
Car has been no probllem at all, but got to traffic lights and pulled away in 2nd? other gears are there except 1st and reverse? gear stick is very loose. Any ideas. thanks
IIRC Remove the 2? pozidrive screws located in the top of the cluster (over the clocks) - cant remember if there are any more - anyway the cluster then pulls out - at the back you'll see access to 2 x 5w bulbs - similar to the rear parking bulbs - easy to change. Although my memory is vague I do recall it only took 2 or 3 minutes in total to do. Thankyou. I do own a Seat If that makes any differance. I wonder what things are differant between them.
