hi there you might just need to adjust the selector at the gear side its a fine adjustment between getting gears and not try it and see if it works does any one know how to do this, thanks for any info recieved

just had a second hand gear selector fitted?, but 4 weeks later finding it hard to get reverse gear?, sometimes it goes straight in,other times if i stop engine and engage gear it works? getting fed up with old gal, does any one know what the problem could be,would it be costly. thanks for any info from all you good galaxy owners,

Good luck on getting it out without removing box :) Same bolt snapped on me 2/3 years ago?, could not find/fish it out, so its still in g/box

traveling home today, got about 3 miles from home and could only get 3rd and 4th gears?,cables look ok at the gear box end, but the gear leaver itself does not look to clever, lots of plastic fillings under it, and cant get 1st or 2nd 5th and reverse?, it looks as if the gear leaver pin that goes thru the middle of it has moved,has any one had this trouble, and if so, how did you fix it please. my galaxy is a 1.9 tdi Thank you in advance

Fixed, it was the starter motor, recon one fitted 6 month g/tee, 95 pounds, thanks for all your help

had the battery checked, its ok, checked the charging as well,----------man in the car shop said,"the battery will start almost anything" will try and get the starter motor off and see if it can be checked?

its a 1.9 tdi, and will not turn over, even with a jump start,

ive had the battery 6 months, but its off a fiesta diesel, 5/6 years old?

came out to car after a night shift, engine turned over but before it would start, it seamed to lose power? when i tried to turn it over again it just would not turn over at all, ( but did start with a push, very easy) could this be a relay?, if so any idea which one, and how do i check. thanks in advance for any help

switch from VW GLOF also fits( look on ebay) thats where i got mine

just random, no pattern to it, only been happening in the last month,diving along,cuts out,turn off ignition and straight back on no glow plug light,take out keys and turn on ignition and glow plug lights up and engine starts,as if nothing has happened?

power sreering fluid '

my clutch pedal has about 3inches play before any pressure, i have had it bled?, i have had it pressure bled,but cant get any gears when engine running, switch off engine, put in gear and drive away but gears still difficult to get, been told its the slave cylender in the gear box,been told its the master cylander, dont know where or what to do, anybody had this problem,if so what did you do to fix,any help would be greatly apprecated, thanks for reading. please excuse my spelling

The bolt on the gear linkage has snapped? and dropped into the gear box? tried fishing around for it but cant find it,will it just drop to the bottom of the box and stay there or will it move about and possibly come thru the side if the gear box, any help would be greatful.

same thing happend to me last sat, it turned out to be a BOLT in the gear linkage that sits on top of the box,cost of bolt 42p, if you can get snapped piece of bolt out, if not new shaft( cost 22 pounds).-- pm me your tel number and il will ring you if u like

my windows keep opening by themself in this wet weather (water in footwell,scuttle drain clear) does any one know which fuse it is so i can take it out at night so windows wont open when im in bed. thank in advance for any info on this matter

thanks, jut footwell was full of water and i had to bail it out and clean spades on relay
