hi, can anyone tell me what the injection timing should be @ my galaxy 1.9 tdi , the vdcs shows it injecting @ 6.8 --7.2 btdc, can i use vcds to alter injection timing ?

hi, my 51 plate.9tdi automatic has started changing gear (up) at very low revs , it can be in 5th doing 20 mph any ideas pls cheers

hi , bought a galaxy with vhs player in boot but the 3 buttons on the control panel are missing, is there any way i can get the vhs to play or can i unplug the control panel & concoct something to operaet a centurion dvd player ?. cheers

Hi George , Thnx for the reply but i think it is more engine than loose items etc,some one suggested a dicky egr valve not closing , i have just bought this heap but i bought it with a Ticky engine --description given ,it was more of a heavy tapping which i put down to a hydraulic tappet getting tight & causing a valve to catch a piston so i fitted a timing belt kit (vw) & hydraulic tappets (europarts)which got rid of the heavy tap, i have rechecked belt/timing & reset injectors yesterday, the drone/backbeat was still there but you could just here it but by the time i got home (10 miles) it had got louder, you can here something like a blow/suction when you rev the engine then let revs drop also fuel consumption seems slightly heavier so it is a bit of a power Dix

Hi my galaxy has developed a drone/backbeat @ airfilter box area more pronounced @ low revs, have checked belt (new) timing, reset injectors but still there, had vag com on it but no ault codes found so that should eleasiminate any sensors so it must be mechanical, any ideas pls

Just to ask, have you had the key apart as the transponder chip easily falls out, happened to me . Bill Hi Bill Thanks for your reply, now that you mention it i came to open the door on thursday (locks frozen) i have to use the key in the door as the key fob wont programme & when i came to pull it out of the lock the key fob parted & a little oblong pastic piece fell to the ground , could this be the problem ? cheers
