Switcheroo

Having a similar problem... have a 1.9 TDI Galaxy Ghia Last week I had a sudden drop off of power and ever since the car has been struggling. Had it checked out by a place who hooked it up to a machine and said it wasn't the turbo - most likely the MAF. Has been churning through petrol and oil and letting go a good bit of smoke from the exhaust. Disconnected it to see if it made any difference and it ran about the same - one of the other threads here says to try that. So I went to a garage this evening to get the MAF replaced at a cost of
