Hi skippythomson, Just received your PM and replying to your query :) Basically the problem that I had was really serious in the end. The first diagnosis at Ford: They said there was air in the clutch fluid, they said that's what caused the pedal to go down. That was fixed and a week later, the same thing occurred. The second diagnosis at Ford: They said there was a problem more than likely with the master/slave clutch cylinder. That got replaced and ruled out any LEAKS (this they said is the most common type of problem if the clutch goes down) After a few weeks, same problem again! - Unlucky for me. The third diagnosis at Ford: They said they needed to replace the whole clutch system and on top of that, found a fault with the flywheel. They had to replace that at the clutch system. Touchwood that has solved the problem so far :) Total cost to me :

Hello Everyone, Hope someone out there can help :) I have a Galaxy Ghia 2007 Model and recently while driving the clutch just stayed down. On releasing my foot the clutch just stayed there, and wouldn't budge (even tried lifting it with my leg) What's even worse this happened at a roundabout at the traffic lights so I practically was stuck as the car wouldn't move. The only solution I thought of then and there was to get out the car, lift the clutch pedal with my hands and it then came back up. A few moments later the whole thing happened again on a main road. After stopping it for a few minutes I managed to get back home safely without any issues. I have never had this issue before since I've owned the car and just wanted to find out if anyone knows what the issue could be? Is it something I can fix myself? or have to get a garage to fix it? I've never experienced this issue before and wondered if anyone can shed some light on where to go from here. I can confirm when we brought the car home, when the clutch was pressed all gears are freely moving, and when released it came back up. Is it safe to drive still? Many Thanks in Advance, Calvin

A/c Problem - Display Flashing
calvinsnetwork replied to calvinsnetwork's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
ahh right, Yes, Your absolutly correct. I was just looking for a compressor in the meantime just to see how much they were going to cost. (I'm just so worried at the moment about the cost) Anyhow, you really know your stuff as you were correct and spot on!, They told me that they were not "100%" sure it's the compressor and gave me a card to contact some Auto Mobile company to have a look, so that's what was going to be my next option as I don't want to get a compressor if it's working perfectly fine as you said. All they told me was that they attempted to fill the a/c and during some vaccum test they said that it failed and is most likely to be the compressor, I got no other results, so I doubt they tried to fill it. I'm glad you confirmed the details above as I should have asked those questions when I was there. Anyhow, would you recommend me to call the auto mobile company and see what they say? Thanks once again seatkid, you really know your stuff! Cheers, Calvin -

ok, Just taken it to Kwik Fit, Took 4 hours as there was a queue, but they have confirmed the compressor has gone. Does anyone know where I could get one from, possibly eBay? or from Ford directly? Thanks, Calvin -

Yes, That's what I got told as well. This guy didn't even open the bonnet. He just got in the drivers seat, looked at the display and instantly said the panel needed replacing. -

Hey Everyone, I've got a Galaxy 53 I'm so glad that their is a forum like this, to support people like me! I've resolved one problem, but now another has cropped up. Basically where the air con display is, it keeps flashing when I start the car. The whole display flashes for about 5-10 seconds then goes back to normal. I've noticed and reading on forums, could this be something to do with re-gassing? I noticed that my A/C doesn't get cold at all, so this is my suspicion. Just out of interest, I took it to my local garage today and they said the flashing was due to the controls being "sticky from drinks" and I want to know your opinion. They gave me a cost of

Remove Parking Sensor Module
calvinsnetwork replied to calvinsnetwork's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Mirez, Your A Star! Thank You!! Your Help is greatly appreciated! These Sandicliffe people try to rip everyone off. Cheers, Calvin -
Hello Everyone, Thanks first of all to all you, especially Mirez, who has helped so much during these past few days. I've successfully managed to install my new non-oem sensors, parking module and LED display. My Question is, the old broken Parking Sensor Module under the passenger seat. Is it possible to remove it? and How do I do it? I've been told that I will get a shock if I put my hands near it according to Sandicliffe, is this true? Also, I have front sensors as well (I haven't installed yet as it was the back which I needed them for.) But when I go into first gear, it turns off, If I wanted it to stay on until I reach that 15mph limit like my old sensors, do I need to use the electrical source from under the passenger seat? Does it have some kind of relay? Thanks, Calvin

Parking Sensor Led Display

Hey Guys, Thanks once again for all your help. Managed to install the sensors, but have bit of a problem. Basically I want to put the LED display which came with it on the dashboard, does anyone know whats the best route to take through the car? My Reverse Box Control Panel is in the right rear compartment. Am I best to take it under through the right rear door, then drivers door, thenup towards the windscreen? Is there any better route to minimise showing of wiring. Cheers, Calvin -
Hey, Had a look over the past few days at the wiring, found the black/blue live wire for reverse light, one problem though. Does anyone know how to take out the old sensors. I tried undoing and holding off the clips but it looks like they are glued on. Is it better to create new holes? or is there anyway to remove the old one? Thanks, Calvin

Hi Mirez, Thanks for your quick response. I did take into consideration getting a second hand control module, but my problem was I just couldn't find one anywhere and was worried about compatibility. I even went to the Sandicliffe where I bought the car from, and they gave me a Ford Part No (which is useless as I googled it and searched ford parts) They wanted

Hello Everyone, First off all, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone out there who has supported this forum. Basically my 53 Galaxy has the "Water in the Passenger Footwell" problem and I wouldn't be able to have resolved it without you! So Thank You! Anyway, getting back to the more serious part, basically, before I knew of this forum, I didn't have a clue about this water problem. Unfortunately we didn't recognise the problem fast enough and water had overflooded in the footwell. Now the problem, My Sensors & TV's. TV's being the less major part as Ford, (Also known as "Fraud" on this forum) wanted
