Does anyone know how to check this? is the booster powered by the head unit? if so i won't be able to try another unit as it won't power the booster. Would plugging in another car aerial work? Kev

Ok, tried both ends which were firmly attached, tried both with the aerial lead plug in the back and without, no difference at all, which i thought there would be. Is it usual for the radios to pack up? Kev

Hi all, don't know if anyone can help, the radio after several weeks of poor receiption has now gone completly, just lots of hissing on FM and a vague signal on LW, have pulled the radio to check the aerial connection behind and all is fine also the one to the rear glass is fine. Any suggestions? Thanks Kev

The ticking is a great tip, mine haven't been working for some time and I'm yet to get my Vag-com, if you put your finger over them you can actually feel them ticking as well, have isolated the duff one and now on a quest to find a spare a non fraud prices!!

Chears Chris, i have checked the scuttle and its fine, also the rear washer is fine also. Hoping to gat a vagcom at some point and hopefully this will identify the problem. Kev

One thing that help for me was to actually change the pollen filter, mine was so bad that it was really reducing air flow into the cabin, you just need hands the size of a 10 year old and the dexterity of a gymnast to change the dam thing!!!

Not to bad a job with the help of this usefull site, just do a little bit of searching and you will find all the answers here :huh: Just spent 4 hours on Sunday changing disks and pads all round, and as i said with the help of the many posts from the good people here it was fairly easy to do (just a B*****d to undo the bolts on the front to change the disks. May i take the time to thank those who post all the usefull info here. Kev

Hi all, new to the site as i have just got a Galaxy 1.9tdi Ghia 02 plate. I know this topic has been discussed many times already, however i can not seem to find the answer to this question, how do i know if the brains are duff or the sensors. I get the flashing light and the long tone, checked for water under the seat, bone dry. If i unplug the sensors from the control i still get the fault tone, does the unit check for the sensors? Is there any easy way of finding the fault? Private buy so can't take it back to be fixed. Any help would be gratefully received. Kev
