the engines and parts dont fit but check the internet as ebay is no good for these engines as i found out there was one site that was cheaper ill see if i can find out the name for you and try sharan or seat as often there parts are cheaper and exactly the same

yea i had same problem with like the clutch costing silly price and battery to run it had to do that as well along with a list of others thats why now i sort of dont want to let it go as put the money in and dont want to loose it and nice car when running rite lol mine had the same wires every were got most out but still loads to sort and carnt get a sterio to work in it for some reason. but went throw the mot with only needing two coil packs but now with these new problems driving me nuts body work needs good clean up but i can get to that once its all running as it did for that one weak in the year i have had it lol i spose you have to decide wether you want to put money into it as i did and to be honest if i had none would have just saved the money on the clutch as the car cost me

no just how you feel i got v6 ex police galaxy had same missfire sorted that for a weak run lovely now all sorts of problems and run out of money if you decide to scrap v6 and your not to far please let me no as out of the two maybe able to make one that works lol

i have a 2002 2.8 v6 and been told so many differnt things it could be latest being head gasget how do i find out if it is head gasget thank you

just been out with me tourch look for the thermostat and found a flexi pipe not conected as far as i can tell it goes to a black plastic thing on the bottom of the engine looks round held on a round bracket by three bolts with wires comeing out sorry not much help have no idea on these new engines but any idea what that is

just checked water pump seems to be turning fine

its the oil presure warning coming on. checked pump spins fine

i tried the pipes that you told me there is no water coming out of either of them

ill tell as much as i can put car in for mot failed on emisions found out it was due to two faulty coil packs replaced them and car never run so well took it back for retest the man was reving it high for test then noticed water was dripping from car and soon made big puddle he told me it was air con after that car was fine for about a day i topped the coolent up as water warning come on then after driving about half hour temp shot straight up and stop oil presure come on checked water had not gone down so checked oil no water in there had a mecanic come round he told me he could see marks were water pump had leaked so i changed the water pump and thank you so much to the person on here who helped me with that put new water and coolents in and changed oil and put new coil packs in but made no difference after the temp goes half way oil presure warning is coming on and when you stop car and try to restart it it dont like to start after a while the car revs build up and it starts hope that helps thank you

sorry new to this still working it out. oil temp only comes on after about 10 minutes of driving and engine is over heating not loosing any water from car and no water in the oil thinking it could be head gasget really hoping not is there any sure way to tell. and thanks for all the help

long list here lost some water out of the bottom of my 2.8 v6 galaxy was told water pump changed that now oil presure light comes up and heaters not working any advice

i have a 2002 2.8 v6 with water pump problem the first thin is i have no idea were the water pump is on this car and second is what pump do i need for this car if any one can tell me part number would be so gratefull thank you

2.8 v6 galaxy was missfiring due to coil pack sorted that then stared to loose water from air con now no water is flowing round the engine any one please help

mine done the same it was due to snapped coil pack ide pull them out and check none snapped to start with

i have 2002 galaxy 2.8 v6 had trouble missfiring put new coil packs on never run better for a day at least then water started leaking out from some were went to put fresh water in and is just sitting in tank not going round so engine over heating and oil presure keep coming up please help lol
