  1. Consider yourself luicky. He'd just be an average driver over here. Possiibly BETTER then "average". That and add being on a phone or texting. (Most likely)
  2. That's like when I delivered for a Nissan dealer. Delivered an oil pan for an Infinti QX4 and the customer told me he'd been waiting a month. Said the Pathfinder part was in stock but literally double the price than the identical (other than packaging and part number) Infiniti part!! We wondered the strangeness of the Nissan part being twice as much as the Infiniti part thinking it have been the opposite but also figured they pulled their pricing out of a hat!
  3. Years ago I broke a few clips (well, mangled) on my Crown Victoria whilst fixing a resonance I was getting from a certain passage of "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" by Iron Maiden. (Anyone who knows the song is familiar with about 2/3 through a VERY low bass signature!). Running a few hundred watts through a decent sound system at that point would resonate the door cards!! Drove me nuts!! The fix? I stuffed the offending area with Gaffa tape holding a few layers of corrugated cardboard to insulate the panel that was vibrating and then using a few bits of tape and bungee cords for pressure ran a bead of silicone sealer along the area edged by the clips. Did the other door too. Never had another problem with "resonance" whether playing Maiden or Mozart! (Or Motorhead for that matter!)LOL.
  4. Does that make it a Fjord? (I had to!)
  5. At least you stuck with Ford!! Congrats!!
  6. Heeheeheeheeeeee....... :D
  7. Glad to hear it went well. I assume nothing. I think even if you did remove the thread, say if you thought "Uh oh", that it would NOT be an abuse of admin. Just my opinion but as someone who runs his own forum, if one of my members even posted something they later regretted, for ANY reason, and asked me to remove it, I would. I have actually, when a member accidentally mentioned his place of employment and though he had nothing to hide wasn't comfortable with that info. Another member had quoted that post as the first member had hired the second for employment. I was only too happy to "censor" the place of employment as I can understand sometimes people don't want their personal info "out there". So, in general, I think removing a thread isn't abuse as even these days if you do something legitimately, you can never be too careful who's snooping or looking to "stir up trouble". Anyways. Enough said. I'm still quite impressed by the quality of the work and don;t worry, just enjoy your Galaxy!
  8. Agreed. Can't be too careful these day with various agencies and such "browsing" auto forums. I know they do here and would assume they do over there too??? Anyways. Nice to see a quality job.
  9. I agree there as I wouldn't feel it worth the risk. Petrol is a lot cheaper than a new engine, emissions systems damage or other possible repairs. I'd also wonder what it would do to a cat on vehicles so equipped.
  10. There are MANY for and against this. Probably the most famous (infamous?) thread on the subject is on the Explorer forums: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showth...age=1&pp=20 I havn't been on there in a long time but one poster claimed he was getting 30 mpg in an Explorer. Sounds iffy at best but.......... Hope this helps.
