I had two fitted a couple of weeks ago by a fairly expensive fitter for £280 all in... Added - sorry they are Dunlops - that's why!
-
There isn't a workshop manual available unfortunately. I don't know how to replace the bulb but when you find out I'd love to know - take some photos!
-
Yes the Mk3 looks and is great - the rear seats in the s-max are very small!

This is a basic photo guide on how to remove a 2nd generation Sony head unit and in my case install a Nokia CK100 bluetooth hands free kit. I used a SOT092S adapter so the Nokia ISO cable would fit to the cars Quadlock connection. Step one - carefully prise the wood trim from the dash using a hard plastic tool. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4108/5001448722_719041cef0_b.jpg Step two - carefully prise the lower trim away. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4104/5000847943_6d5c5c4423_b.jpg Step three - remove the torx screws and remove the upper trim to reaveal the head unit torx screws. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4133/5000847857_e67e9f4954_b.jpg Step four - fit CK100 and loom - I fixed mine here with a zip tie. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4091/5001448630_3e61c57b21_b.jpg Step five - reinstall everything.

I posted this a few weeks ago for this exact problem - it tells you what you need to know... Removing a 2nd Gen Sony

Yes, I do like them a lot and I know they work on a movement sensor basis but they do sometimes have a mind of their own. I am also very mindful that I must have them deactived in frost...

I've had my 2.0 TDCi for a month and got 49mpg doing long journeys - I confirmed this when I refilled the tank. More recently I have been getting 44mpg, not driving very carefully and doing short journeys fast. I have an early 2008 model so the official mpg is around 35 - 53mpg so I'm doing okay. The newer model 2.0 does around 3mpg more but the 0-60 is a whopping 0.1 second slower!

Thanks for the tip - I assumed the sensitivity control was just for manual...

Is it normal for the auto wipers to be a bit crazy on Fords? Go very fast when there's little rain then infrequently when you want them faster... Not a big complaint but wonder if that's just how they are?
-
I can confirm that my wifes iPhone streams with the Galaxy and my HTC does not.
-
Not 100% - it seems worse at lower speeds and almost pulses... Any way that I could tell? New tyre would be much more preferable to a new hub or two!

Thanks for the reply. The dealer route wasn't going to be easy so I paid

One of the rear wheels on my Mk3 has a noisy bearing - I assume this is not covered by the warranty? If it's not is there any way of avoiding having to buy the

Yes the previous owner said 'we've just topped up the air con' - at which I thought I've never had to top up the air con especially not on a 2 year old car! Anyhow it seems to work okay at the mo!
-
Kebrina - the 2.8 is a lovely sounding engine!
-
I get about 49mpg normally and 45mpg fully loaded - which I'm really pleased with. My A4 Avant 2.0 TDi only did 42mpg on average!
-
You are quite right Mirez! The mk3 is fine but not actually that much better than the mk2. I watched a lot of these videos before buying the Galaxy - seems the smaller the car the better.
-
Does it fit a Mk3?
-
Well so far nothing seems to have gone wrong, I assume the fact that no one uses the mk3 section of this forum means they must be very reliable cars!
-
I think the following NCAP videos say it all. No complaints about my Mk3!
-
Yes I get this message too, I just fitted a bluetooth kit. So does this mean it will switch off after 1 hour...and that I have miswired something?
-
I've just bought a mk3 and have found that the mk3 specific area seems to be very quiet - you may notice that almost every post in the mk3 area has my name against it! I guess this is a good sign in a way - maybe nobody has any issues with the mk3? Anyhow, if I wanted to ask questions about the mk3 and get an answer should I join the Ford Owners Club instead? Am I asking questions in the wrong part of this forum? Thanks, Christian

The stereo code shown in both my service book and on my code card show 'incorrect code' when I type it in. What are my options? 2008 mk3 btw.

Okay I worked it out! Now, does anybody know why the stereo code in both my service book and on my code card show 'incorrect code' when I type in the code?
