Morning, Have recently been having some problemns with my Galaxy (X reg 2.3 Manual). Seems like a common fault: unlock car, turn key, power to radio, dash lights etc but no turning over. LED in driver's door flashes. Wait a while, try a few more times, usually starts within 5 minutes. Took to main dealer for repair, told that problem was immobiliser, had key fob chip and key replaced, has worked fine after that. This was 2 months ago. Last night, the alarm was set off (some drunken youths thought it was funny to run over the top of the car - note to self, must get some trip wire), and now the problem has re-appeared. Still starts after a few minutes of trying though. Can the alarm going off have tripped the problem again? Or could it be something unrelated? Assume that the chip/key can't need replacing so soon! Any help gratefully received!
