Anybody have a few of these lying around in your shed or elsewhere? If not, can anybody suggest a suitable alternative?

MK1 Galaxy(98 2.3 Glx) with the following spotted between dash edge and bottom right of windscreen. In my search for remote central locking capability I assume this is a receiver for the remote control/ central locking module? I dont have a remote key fob, only 2 black keys. Would take the plunge and by a remote fob on ebay for around 20 quid and try but would be nice to know beforehand. No IR domes front or back either. Rang up local Ford dealer and they yes it has but cant tell me if its IR or RF. Pictured object may be able to clarify

Long shot possibly but looking for the skirts and front lip/bumper/spoiler whatever its called. Not so fussed about the rear spoiler. Dont like the Reiger kits and I think the stock Si kit is very low key and not over the top. Nothing on ebay at the moment, the si being broken on there at the moment's body kit is already sold.

took my Galaxy to the local mechanic (good bloke and fair priced) for a service - asked him how much to change the drive belt?? said the 2.3 Petrol (98 in my case) has chain and doesnt need replacing- is this right?

Thanx Dally Control Panel I take it means the pc board etc behind the Heat and Blower controls?Integral would suggest a replacement of this pc board or "control panel"? Or is it possible to just replace the thermostat? That bit of plastic and electronics cost

I have that clicking sound even though the car doesnt need re-gassing. Had it in yesterday and the Aircon guy said system was full?????

I know theres a thread on Aircon problems - gone through it (all 5 pages) no answer to my problem though..... When I turn on the aircon in my 98' 2.3 GLX , a clicking sound comes from behind the heater/blower dials - aircon wont work whilst this clicking goes on. When it stops the aircon blows cold. Just had in for a re-gas and been told that it isnt necessary as the system is full. any ideas?????

I saw a ford coolbox going on ebay -sold for 150 quid , fits into seat brackets and plugs into cigarette lighter. How much does Ford sell this coolbox thing for?

I get between 310 and 330 miles out of my tank on my 98 2.3. I am a careful driver and generally stick to the speed limits. Happy with that but would like to kow more about this econo-valve

Took my Gal in , mechanic thinks he's nailed it down to a bad "DIS Pack" Will see later when I pick her up

Its a sony cd player fitted by means of a Ford to ISO adapter- thing is , the Airbag light no longer flashes and car runs permanently on 3 cyclinders now. Goes into Ford tomorrow, still under warranty

My Galaxy started misfiring on Thursday and has got progressively worse. Damndest thing I ever did see, for every misfire the Airbag light flashes- Help!!! Had a new radio installed on Wednesday, could this have caused it?????

interesting... My Galaxy (98 R) 2.3 started misfiring on one or two cylinders.Not all the time , and for every misfire I get a flash of the airbag light. When a run of misfires occurrs , its followed ,in correct time,by the flashing airbag light??????? now , I had a new radio/cd player installed the day before it started??? anybody have any ideas????

Firstly I'm not sure if this posting is in the right place so forgive me if it isnt Secondly , I bought a used rollup-pullout thing parcel shelf whatever the correct term is and went into Ford and bought the brackets to mount the thing. The trouble is I have only a general idea where to mount the brackets. The Haynes manual isnt very helpful. Has anyone pics of their (mine is a 98 Gal) with these brackets in place so I can place mine in the right spot or point me to a web site with pics or diagrams????? HELP!!!!

I ahve had a look under the box beneath the right rear window and all I see is the main wiring running off to the back lights etc , one branch that runs to what I presum the fuel cap locking mechanism and one disused lonely cable. Its only got two wires , a red and a green+brown one. This dont look like a CD connection whatsit, to me it looks like a speaker connection- What does that CD connection look like? my other choice is to make use of the cavity underneath the front passenger seat for a CD Changer- But will there be enough space to remove and replace disks?

this problem has become a constant one now, seems even though the air con is switched on , it only kicks in randomly- I can feel it when it does, then cold air a-plenty comes through I had a look at the button under the Accelerator pedal , it was covered by a floor mat- took it out and hopefully thats will be the problem solved. Will post the outcome
