I have a Galaxy 2.3 Zetec Auto (W Reg (MkI)).. I got a mobile mechanic out to look at the car last week - as it was misbehaving and I don't have enough daylight hours during the week. The idle air valve was the problem - I have sourced this part.. (being delivered tomorrow 10/02/2010).. HOWEVER... the car won't start at all now he's looked at it!! Can the idle air valve cause the car not to start (I don't think so!!) He told my wife he tightened up the battery connections and did an electric diognosics on the car.. It will not even turn over now though.. almost as if immobiliser is on or something.. if I turn the key in the ignition it simply goes mad.. lights on dash flashing and clicking.. sometimes i get four or five bleeps from the car too... please help.. any advise would be much appreciated as I have told the mechanic to come and fix it and want to arm myself!

FINIS Code to Part Number... This would be a great resource to have on here - as Ford Dealers tend only to give you FINIS codes which makes shopping around and making sure you are ordering the correct item difficult. If any one could help me on this one it would be great.. I need the Part Number for the FINIS Code 1041963 - it's an Idle Air Valve for a 2.3 Galaxy (2000 W) Thanks in advance Jimbob
