Thanks for the reply - yes vagcom can talk to other modules, i will double check the fuses (pretty sure they were all there) - i assume the only fuse box in the one under the steering wheel? The sensor by the filer - is this just 2 wire that just need shorting together to simulate low temp? Any connectors/cables worth checking? Thanks Gary

hi all - sorry to bring another aux heater problem to the table :) I have a 53 1.9 TDI Ghia, I have had the car since feb 2010 but I wanted to ensure my aux heater is working before the winter so I decided to check it. When I connect using vagcom I ran the scan for the modules etc - but when I select aux heater module it tells me that the module cannot be contacted :( any ideas/suggestions? (i am assuming i have the correct address on vagcom) Many Thanks Gary

hi - sounds like my 115bhp Galaxy is making the same noise - did you get to the cause of the problem and was it a easy/cheap fix? Thx
