Hi Chaps Just drove home from asda without a speedo. :D On my arrival home, i had a closer look and noticed that the needle has fallen on the wrong side of that little plastic rest which it normally sits on when the vehicle is stationary. Which is the best way to access the needle to put it back in its proper place. It's on a mk1 Gal. Cheers

Hi Guys Over the last few weeks my mk1 gal has developed a strange new noise. Every time i steer left, theres a sort of rubbing grinding sound, but i can't tell if it's coming from the suspension or the steering system. It seems worse if i corner at a higher speed. <_< I know the description is rather vague but any clues would be appreciated. I can't afford a big repair bill at the moment but at the same time i don't want to drive my precious family around with what might be a potentially dangerous problem on the car. cheers ~adema~

Hi Guys. Anyone got any suggestions as to where i can get a pair of roof rails for my mk1 gal?. The sort that run lengthways along the car as opposed to across the width of the car (if that made any sense, cos i confused meself then!?!...lol). Also, would it cost a lot to get them fitted as i understand all the headlining has to come out for the holes to be drilled :( Awaiting your words of wisdom chaps...lol. cheers ~adema~

I have those exact same speakers in my MK1 gal, they're pretty good. Any ideas on how i can persuade the missus into letting me have a couple of 10" subs in the back, was thinking of fitting them in the plastic trim on the inside of the boot door, lol. :(

Thanks for all the suggestions lads. Whilst cleaning the gal out tonight, i had a proper look at where the aeriel on the window meets the ceiling panel and i noticed a little black tab hanging down a little outside the plastic cap which covers it. I pulled the plastic cap off to reveal the black plastic tab was actually a terminal similar to the sort that clip onto a 9v battery. At the top of the rear side window where the aeriel ends is a connector with the same fittings. I pushed the tab back on....hey presto....radio clear as a bell. Now i need to find something to make sara cox a little easier on the ears :angry:

Hi guys Just a brief query regarding radio reception with my mk1 galaxy. When listening to local radio stations i get a fairly good reception but radio1 isn't so clear. Was just wondering if there is any device available which i can use to improve reception, such as a signal booster of some kind. I'm using a fairly decent sony head (CDX-F7500). Any help would be appreciated. ~adema~

Hey peeps Just wondered if anyone could help me with a little problem. I'm looking to replace my standard side repeaters with clear ones but i'm having trouble finding some that will fit. I have a '97 R reg galaxy GLX TDi. I tried the 'universal' ford ones but they're too short and the longer ones won't fit in the recess in the bodywork :o Any help would be great. ~adema~
