Front Seats And Under Floor Compartments .
~adema~ replied to toneinblack's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi chaps I use the storage area under my seat to stow a first aid kit and latex gloves (for filling up purposes btw...lol). Some friends of mine hired a Galaxy to do a booze and fags run over the channel and stashed a load extra ciggies under the front seats but customs were wise to it, probably seen it a thousand times before. Also comes in handy for threatening to stuff the mother in law into on those long summer journeys when she just won't stop yakkin in my left ear from the middle row...lol. Considering letting her see me load a bag of lime and a shovel into the bootspace this year  ~adema~ -
Hi Kungfu Had similar symptoms with my Galaxy, turned out to be vertical link. Bought a new one off ebay for about

Hi guys Took my Gal in for some paint repairs last week, when i went to pick her up, there was also a Mk2 in the workshop. I stood chatting to the guy who owns the place, who told me that the Mk2 belonged to T C Harrison and that it was going to auction in a few days time. He said he had noticed the mats in my Gal (just 4 normal car mats, 2 in the front and 2 in the middle row). He said he would take the proper mats out of the Mk2 and put them to one side for me, went and collected them yesterday, fit a treat. Even threw in the securing screws. Full set of quality galaxy mats for chuff all :D Nothin like a freebie!!...lol. ~adema~

Hi chaps Just been browsing some of the posts regarding moisture in the cabin, windscreen fogging etc cos i'm suffering the same prob myself on my 97 gal. Popped the bonnet up n had a nosey around but couldn't locate the drain holes, but then it was dark n the torch batteries were dying...lol. Had a look under the wheel arch n found an opening near the suspension struts, is this what i'm looking for??. I had a poke around in there with a length of wire anyway but it seemed clear. Any ideas lads? ~adema~

Hi Guys A few weeks back i posted a query about coloured/custom dials for a Mk1 Galaxy. After perusing Lockwoods website, i decided to email them as they didn't appear to have any listed for a galaxy. They replied: Thank you for your interest in dial kits for the Galaxy. At present it is something we don't produce. However, if there is demand for at least 15 sets then we would be interested in putting them into production. The cost would be around

Thanks lads Found your replies quite interesting, although i think

Hi Chaps Just been looking at those pics of sharanfxs' ride. I like the look of that K&N air filter he has fitted. I was wondering if one of those would fit straight into my Mk1 Galaxy without any mods?. Also, would there be any difference in performance, i currently have the standard galaxy filter fitted. ~adema~

Hi Guys Over the last few weeks my mk1 gal has developed a strange new noise. Every time i steer left, theres a sort of rubbing grinding sound, but i can't tell if it's coming from the suspension or the steering system. Dragging along ground?? :D Anyway, nice one Seatkid. Sorry we got off to a bad start. Hope you can help me again in the future, not that i'm hoping i get too many problems with the old gal...lol.

Lucky you Wavster. I posted the exact same problem the other week. But whereas you got a a nicely labelled photo with an answer to your problem, i got spouted off at. :) by the same person too. Can't help but think i must have done something wrong at some point. ~adema~

Strange Grinding Noise
~adema~ replied to ~adema~'s topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Sorry for not being as technically savvy as you guys obviously are, i only passed my test two and a half months ago and happen to be fairly new to cars. I also happen to be very busy with work and four kids, one of which happens to be autistic so scrambling about under my car is not always top of my agenda. But hey, i've been told now so i guess i'll buck my ideas up eh. I came on here for help seatkid, not criticism. -
Hey Guys Think i found the cause of that strange grinding creaking noise every time i took a sharp left turn. I had a proper look under the front driver side wheel arch and this was hanging off!!, since i removed it, the noise is still there sometimes but nowhere near as bad. Fortunately one of my workmates was a mechanic for 15 years and said if i get a new one, he'll put it on during dinner break one day. Can't remember what he said it was called though   Jeff

Hi Guys Heard a few of you mention something called VAG-COM. As a new driver and newbie galaxy owner, just wondered what it was. Laters.
