Hi Andy This very question has crossed my mind on more than one occassion! So on this vain and having just come back from Germany and have an answer. Whilst in Germany I checked this out with a Ford dealer and guess what? In Germany and no doubt in other EU countries....this is an option for the MK3 Galaxay! So in short the answer is yes the centre console with the lifting armrest lid from the SMAX WILL fit a Galaxy. On Good Friday I am going back to NW Germany and am staying for 2 weeks. During that time I will order the console and have it fitted. On my return I will let you know how it went :ph34r:
