Hi. I have a 2003 galaxy tdi. I would like the details of the tool that removes the black plastic oil filter cap. I have measured 74mm across flats but don't have the car with me to check the number of flats. I have tried a strap wrench but the cap won't budge. Thanks Glenn

The Ford dealer sold me the car as a 130 ps TDi but when I gave my registration to the parts department today they told me it was only 115 ps. Is there a code within the engine number or something that can tell what the car actually has?

MBD2188 I think are the rear pads. I was told MDB1954 maybe correct for fronts?? Do you have a single box for front and rears? See you have a 2001, didn't the pads change design for 2003 models?

Hi. Can someone tell me what the correct Mintex part numbers are for a 2003 Galaxy TDi with 16" wheels? The supplier I have gone to, which is http://stores.ebay.co.uk/MNC-AUTOMOTIVE-LTD need some guidance. Are there different styles of pads fitted to this year of car that can only be identified by stripping the car down?? :) Thanks

Certainly don't have the warning light but I suppose the warning light bulb could have blown??? Does anyone know wether or not the Zetec has this system??

Just found mention of the 'bulb failure system' in my hand book. I removed the brake and tail light bulbs and the warning light didn't come up. Does this mean that the 2003 Zetec isn't equiped with this function? If it isn't equiped is there anything else to be concerned about?

I hope that sorts my signature. It just sounds like an electric motor running to me. Blower is off. I will check the coolant fan. - not sure what this means. I had a 1.9TDi before so maybe I am not used to petrol engine noises :lol: I dont really want to go out and buy another key so what happens if I lose one and get down to one key? My wife will need a key as well but presumably the car will be immobilised :)

How do I replace a key without the number? tell fords to surply the 3rd key,it should of come with the car :( Ford say the 3rd key and tag with key number aren't needed because extra keys can be cut using one of the other 2 keys as a master. :( Also said that a new remote key would be about

Hi. Just bought a Jan 2004 Zetec from a Ford dealer. It has the chrome strip around the front grill. Tried to check it over eg gadgets, using the owners guide and a 2003 sales brochure but I have found it difficult to determine what applies to my model. Keys: I have only been given 1 remote and 1 standard. Dealer said this is correct? From the manual it looks like I should also have an 'emergency key' and 'tag' with the key number. After locking, the light in the drivers door flashes every second. The owners guide states this means that an area has not been locked correctly. On another page it states the light should flash rapidly!! What should it do? Should the alloy wheels have a locking wheel nut and nut key? Strangely on every wheel all but one of the bolts is very rusty. Is this normal? Also noticed a very slight vibration through the steering wheel when the car is moving and at rest. Normal? I can hear a sound like an electric motor when the car is running. Normal? Has it got the 'brake traction control system'? Thanks
