I had to get a guide pin kit for the rear caliber of my 2005 TDi Galaxy. As this is a common and standard car and the caliper is branded VW, I thought it would be easy to go on line, enter my vehicle details and a compatible part is selected. No so. The part is 10mm shorter and the diameter of the pin is 8mm instead of 8.5mm. - miles different. BrakeParts.com told me that they get the compatible information from their supplier. They suggested I should try another part number ( one digit up ) for the size I require which fits Focus, Fiesta, Audi, Alfa, VW Lupo Golf Passat. Citroen C8, Mercedes 190, Fiat, and not Galaxy. I have ordered the parts, hopefully they will do the job, but I wondered how many owners bought the same and relied on the compatibly selection to be correct. I suppose it would make little difference except for a bit more slop. Rob
