Hi there, just joined so don't know the score just yet. Got a 1.9tdi that just wont go. 2 so called mechanics and several quid later this is where I am. Car was driving great then suddenly accelerator stopped responding, rev counter and speedo still working, no dash lights on.A new stop solenoid and relay 109 have been suggested and replaced,no luck. The piston was taken out of the shut off solenoid but this makes no difference and when it did briefly start (using easy start) it could still be turned off with the ign key. I am in france at the moment, nowhere near a ford garage so I am considering buying a fault decoder,anybody know of a cheap one that works on a 1998 1.9 tdi? all help appreciated.
