Hi I know this is an old tread but I fell on it looking for the same answers as I had just bought a used Galaxy Zetec 2007 and could not open the rear quarter windows. The user manual clearly shows 2 methots of opening the windows. Either maunually with a lever mechanism or electrically. The switches for the electric method should be mounted either side of the front courtesy lamp however they are not there. My windows too have the cowling on the rear edge, no lever, therfore I must conclude that there is in fact no way of opening the windows. As to the security argument, well what a load of old tosh! Nice one Ford, perhaps a steerinig wheel that does not turn the wheels as the next cutting edge design feature ?
