VW Part numbers are made up of 3 blocks, the first is the platform, the second is the subsection and the third is the part number. Therefore if the part number and subsection havn't changed its almost certain that it will be the same part, the platform is largely irelevant in this case. Have a similar problem myself after our dog chewed through the two rear most belts - can frogeye (or anyone) confirm whether they are compatible between mk1 / mk2 please?
