Sounds daft - but having had car for over a year - have now come to use the roof bars and fit a luggage box - to which there do not seem to be any instructions ? The manual doesn't seem to mention the roof bars and as they were already fitted when I took delivery - do not have the benefit of any instructions etc Opening the four plastic covers reveals three alum type nuts on each "foot" - which loosen with the supplied torque screwdriver. Do I loosen / remove and then just then slide the bars along and can they be placed anywhere on the track or just in the particular "wider" spaces - seems to be about 6 or 8 of these on the track (plus a largish area in the middle - not sure what that for ?). As for the sliding along - this is easier said than done ? Am I missing something here ? If (when I get them to finally slide) I position the "feet" in these places (i.e. in four of the 6 or 8 smallish places) - will a largish (Halfords) box then fit on easily ? Any help appreciated :unsure:
