  1. I may be missing the point here and would appreciate some help! I have a duff ABS sensor, not sure whcih one and my garage has told me to see the dealer or an automotive electrician to see which on it is. Ah ha I thought I have heard about this VAG COM software - is it compatible with the GAL? and are the cables I see on Ebay (OBD2) compatible with the GAL? Seems like a good way to avoid the Ford Stealers prices Cheers

  3. I had thought of radseal, but the leak was quite bad and my friend who is quite a good mechanic dismissed it. He thought that if I was about to sell the car fine but as I intend to keep it I should look to properly solve the problem. I do quite a lot of miles, and with the kids being onboard I'd rather have it done well - but as cheaply as possible!
  4. I forgot to mention, when I decided to have it replaced the main reason was the cost of the removal/refitting. Nearly all the radiator repairers wanted the unit out for inspection so either was I was going to have to pay
  5. Well I ended up taking it to Wessex radiators in Bursledon (Nr Southampton),
  6. Stopped the beast bus yesterday and noticed fluid dripping down from the front O/S. After a quick check I can see a leak at the bottom of the radiator. Our friends at ford want to charge the earth for a new unit, so I've been looking at sourcing and OE part with little luck. Do the Sharan/Alhambra have 2.3 engines? Their parts seem cheaper esp. at German and Swedish. Anyone found a good supplier for radiators? What is the best solution replace or repair? I am a complete biff so I think I will need to take it in to be sorted. DIscs & pads are my technical limit and thats with a friends guiding me!
  7. Sounds very similar to my problem. In the past week two fuses blew. Then on Thursday after work, despite pressing the brake pedal, the rear brake lights (x3) refused to work. I tried fuses/relays then gave up and drove home. On the way the warning cleared and the lights started to work. I stopped at a garage on the way and when I started up it happened again. Switch, or someother problem? Any ideas
