The wires go into to push connectors one slightly bigger than other so they partially go into each other and the clip clicks into place and you have to lift clip to pull apart, then the you push both blocks into a little hole just above starter, battery was fine m8 even when it was just clicking on turnover you had lights, radio stations etc now the starter is turning but the battery just dies,the mechanic said to get an uprated battery of over 100 amps and i didnt know if that was what goes into galaxies as standard or not but thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hi all I have been having some issues with starting my galaxy, it was just clicking so i had a look and there is a wire connected to the starter that has a square block connector, i unclipped it,cleaned it out and it started thought that was it a few weeks went by and it started again. I had another look and after messing with wire again it started, by now i was getting slightly miffed as i was having to push it everynite after work and they aren't the easiest of vehicles to push, anyway i decided reluctantly to take to local garage, i turned up after waiting a week for appointment and the guy who took appointment was sick and he hadnt booked me in ( i was raging) but after a few choice words they had a look for me,starter fine, alternator fine he disconnected a wire from battery that looked a bit dodgy and from that day on it started, until a few weeks later i came out to the car and it was dead nothing even radio stations had gone so ive decided to try a new battery and have been told that i need a decent heavy duty battery with at least a 100 something hertze, megajoules i cant remember what he said so if anyone can shed some light on that it would be appreciated, also this morning battery very low and when i turned it over im sure i heard a pop from exhaust if anyone can help with problems or a tip on the battery choice that would be brilliant thanks for reading my rant. Hi all i have been reading about the various problems both major and minor and the niggles for a few weeks now and afterwards i thought have i got all this to come and i think its started 1=rear top brake light gone 2=rear wiper stopped in middle of screen 3=cc given up the ghost 4=fill up the brake fliud who can get their hands in there (WHAT WERE THEY THINKING) 5=squealing heater motor 6=squealing belt under bonnet (in rain only) Could be worse im sure but all in a matter of days mental

Hi all Just reading this little lot about a/c i going to give mine a serious road test now but any recommendations for re-gassing should anything or anyone be avoided, i read someone did it themselves is it easy, better to take somewhere,do normal garages have the equiptment to check trouble codes or is it a dealer thing can a re-gass cause so much drama between that my rear wiper and now my cc up the swanny its a nightmare any advice would be great can i expect other things to just pack up.

Hi thought i would attempt the one fingered shuffle to introduce myself to you all. My name is Paul im a firefighter with the west midlands fire service and have five children my oldest is 11 and my youngest is 10 weeks so as you can see a 7 seater was a must. Now im on my second galaxy after the first one was attacked by a fiesta. with mr magoo driving, anyway enough waffle got a shout see ya Paul.

# The duel climate control unit is always on ive just got the front and rear temps set usally at 22 then i toggle it down if want air con on but the display does flash for a bit when turned on and the book said that was a sign of a fault but everything works fine heat,cold,the heater squeaks a bit but apart from that it seems ok thanks for taking the time to answer

Hi mate just noticed your post im just starting the journey as far as modification on a galaxy goes and was looking for a spoiler for rear what you found where from and how much cheers

Thanks for the reply, i bought it about a month ago, its a 1999 2.3 ghia x, i started it up the other morning cold and it came on not immediatly but the temp guage hadn't moved yet it does go off, but my old 2.0 rarely came on at all any advice would be appreciated cheers

My fan switches on almost immediatly no matter the temperature any ideas
