Some nice person took out my mirror earlier today covered me in glass and did not stop,which brings me to my question can i you get hold of the glass easy enough (electric one)or is a dealer thing or dare i say it use a stick on glass over the bracket that survived,apologies if there are any original part only enthusiasts out there just asking the question? btw have looked on e-bay couldn't find anything any info would be appreciated cheers Paul.

Hi all :D Just got hold of a low mileage, MK 1 TDI, bit rough around the edges, nice runner a few parts missing but deffo to good to scrap, so what do you all think? 1.Already own a very nice 99 ghia x 23 16v petrol, do i use the petrol while i fettle the diesel and replace parts, then sell 16v (cant run both) 2.Use engine and gearbox and turn good ghia x into diesel so very good shell with low mileage diesel engine. What do you think any other options i've forgot, just cant run both,got to many vehicles and the petrol prices and my mpg are killing me any help or advice greatly appreciated Thanks for reading Paul

Ive got them in my ghia x tbh thought it was a ghia trim level thing but as staceh has said above obviously not.

same problem, only in passenger footwell though, will try the common causes first amazing how common it is.

Its a long shot mate but what you got left(if anything)was after alloy wheels that come as standard on ghia x,the front bottom lip spoiler,and i could do with some speaker covers cheers. Paul

Thanks for reply ill check those things today Thanks for your help you were spot on because id lost chip but didnt know battery was seriously dead chip replaced new battery started first time so thanks for taking the time to reply

The PATS chip does not need reprogramming. Its a passive thing and should just work. Niceone thats back in so one prob ticked off cheers

Does anyone know just putting the pats chip back will it need any sort of reprogramming or just work cause its back in

have got one of those but the car was still running with it hanging and it was one a garage said was surplus.

no mate just nothing but lights is it a tiny chip thing ive discoverd a tiny black rectangle with some numbers and letters and a made in thailand sign but assumed it came out of other unit i had taken apart

:rolleyes: been having starting issues with my v plate ghia x 2.0 16v thought i had sorted with new battery and starter, but just replaced battery in key fob and now door lights are flashing and car wont even click on turning key can still open doors and get electrics when turn key but nothing from starter at all any ideas do i need to reset key any input would be appeciated .
