ok i checked the wash wipe and its still working the water seems to be coming in at the top of the window and running down on to the trim panel on a different note the engine would not stop running after the keys were removed (it doesnt do it all the time) and all the lights on the dash came on (the oil light was orange) any ideas on the cause and more important the cure ? also when the engine is on tick over the revs seem to pick up on their own?

i'll try the wash wipe tomorrow night to see

hi all as the title explains my passanger side rear quarter window has developed a leak any ideas on what it could be iv cleaned the sealing rubber and i cant see any damage to it (i did this while the glass was in ) is it a big job to replace the seal?how hard is it to get the glass out cheers all

thanks for that i'll have a look and report back thinking about the rear parking sensor i had some wet hedge trimmings in the back so it stands a chance that its got wet

hi i have a year 2000 x reg galaxy TDI (first of the newer shape) and i have a few small niggling problems *1 the L.E.D door light some times flashes when im driving *2 theres is a little speaker like box in the left hand side cubby box in the boot (where the rear light bulb access is) and iv noticed a clicking sound coming from it when im driving or braking im not 100% certain but i think the speaker box is to do with the parking sencors which dont work *3 the fog light warning light comes on the dash board lights up when i press the brake pedal which in turn lights up the rear fog lights *4 the passanger side front window doesnt work off the switch it will work from the duel switch on the drivers side and i have looked for broken wires in the door shut but cant see any *5 sometimes when the car is being driven the turbo seems to go in to limp mode and the car wont rev above 2500-3000 rpm any ideas on the cuase and how to fix the problem? *6 the bonnet release cable has stretched i think as you need to pull the bonnet up while pulling the bonnet release handle how hard are the cables to change? i know it seems there are loads of problems with the car but they are just a few small niggles that look like a lot but arnt major (i hope) thanks for any help or advice you can give

looks like it will work do you know if the mk1 door mirrors will fit the mk2 ? i know they are a different shape but are the mounting holes in the same place?

looks like i'll be on ebay later are they easy to use?

forgive me if i sound thick but will the vagcom lead in the link work on my year 2000 mk2 galaxy as it only mentions audi's vw's and skoda's in the discreption? i only ask because i'v brought things off ebay beliving they would fit my galaxy and it didnt so i really dont want to spend out on things that wont work

hi all im after a bit of info whilst on holiday some nice person drove past my year 2000 galaxy and ripped the broke the drivers door mirror leaving it hanging by the electric motor wires after a quick road side fix using zip ties and duct tape i have been trying to find a sencible priced mk2 mirror which has proved harder than i thought so i was wondering if anyone knows if the mk1 mirrors fit them? i know they are not the same shape but they are lot cheaper to buy and easier to find thank all for your help on this

its a case of needs must the mot is on saturday and iv not got the time to get it fixed properly so hope fully a quik bodge with get her through how is the engine bottom plate held on ?

hi my 2000 tdi galaxy exhaust manifold has developed a slight blow what needs to be removed to access? it is it easy to get to? i dont want to take it off if i can help it im more thinking of repair in place with some gun gum or chemical metal many thanks for any help

if its anything like the wiper motor its bloody expencive

i had new batterys fitted to the fob so got the person who fitted the batterys to reprogam it but im sure some one on here knows how to do them or you may find the info if you google it

woo hoo its sorted now the key needed reprograming to the car

hi the remote central on my gal decided to stop working so i thought it must be the battery in the key fob so i have replaced them with new ones but still no joy any ideas the little red light still flashes as it did with the old batterys help please

the part number for the galaxy/sharan wiper motor for the 2000 model is the same the part number is 7M1955113 hope this helps

at the risk of sounding dumb is it both fuses out?

so which fuse is it as i need a quick fix to stop the smoke on my galaxy (only putting it off untill after xmas) is it fuse 12 19 or 24 cheers all

hey all really dumb question but how do you get to the bulb in the front interior light mine has blown so it needs to be changed cheers all

if the price of the wiper motor is anything to go buy then no it wont be cheep my advice is get a kidney listed on ebay to pay for it

if you need need a replacement i got mine from p.w europarts they sell on ebay but if you deal with them direct they pay the postage cost the motor it self is a wallet busting

give me a 6 speed manual over the slushy auto box any day

i find morrisons a good comparison site aswell i would have thought they would have fitted but there are far wiser people on this foum than me

ok quick recap just been out in the car and its quite chilly had a nice jet sound coming from the rear passenger door but no smoke so its not doing it all the time

not sure what to say really mine did the limp mode turbo once or twice but after a healthy dose of right foot therapy it sorted its self good luck as they can be infureating cars at times but the best car in the world at others
