  1. i was going to attempt this saturday night, off side one has broke at the bottom. having read this i've just been out too the wheel off and the tray in the engine bay and quite literally drenched it all in wd40 :( here is hoping for an easy fix :S
  2. i think it depends on the size... i have 195/65x15's and it does need reinforced, not expensive through www.mytyres.co.uk, i use nokian tyres and like them
  3. yeah, i did a pollen filter change and must have disturbed it, as i said i just want it off until i get chance to hook my laptop up...
  4. my heater is coming on all the time, i want to stop it work for now until i get time to sort it. i've got the card but cant work out which fuse to pull, is it the picture of the radiator with the wavey lines going up? no 24? ta ;)
  5. more chance of drowning in the rain before then...
  6. haha, didnt notice that, i was linked from a more recent post lol :D
  7. interesting, quick question though is... does the middle seat have the strength not to collapse in the event of an accident? i always thought that the seat belt had to have a structural point to fasten to at shoulder height, or the seat had to be manufactured to withstand the loading in the event of an accident? i'd also want to be 100% sure that the belt doesnt slip off the seat in the event of an accident (not sure a plastic clip is enough) and do serious shoulder/back injury?
  8. we had a sedona as a hirecar in the states, we were very impressed- it was a v6 petrol though - very smooth, loads of room
  9. 1999 90bhp tdi i'm at 96k miles (with a tuning box :) ), the engine is still sweet, the wiring in the door joins / hatch is going brittle and breaking, i have rust in the tailgate, and it's looking tired, air con is not working. cant face replacing it till it's completely shot as it still does the job - tows caravan, 350m round trips weekly, round town etc - still returns 35-40mpg...
  10. we tow with a 90 bhp tuning boxed 1.9 sharan (5sp) it works well, sits at 60-65 on motorway, really stable, don't know about fuel consumption but it's bound to be better than my 3.0 petrol omega doing the same job so who cares, i'd not thought of the 3.5t total train weight for new drivers, i guess 1900kg (sharan) + 1600 for twin axle would be pushing it, we tow a 1275 all up van though, and have been driving since 89 so no problems :16: and i'm posting this from our awning on the Moreton-in-march caravan club site so top that :P
  11. it is a vendor, he doesn't have any for sale at the mo though...
  12. i bought a cheap one from 'snakemile' was
  13. GSF stock MAF sensors also, mine was about
  14. i'm making one up out of mild steel at the weekend :( paint it with hi temp paint.... sorted
  15. bloody hell!!! ford price
  16. anyone found a good source yet, ours went missing sometime recently, garage that did service said it wasn't on when it went in, i know i put it on last oil change...
  17. 40+ round town :D if it had been my car it would have been a v6, it's not so isn't. you can always fit a second fuel tank. blah blah blah either way petrol or diesel it's better than a minibus or an espace or even a zafira
  18. just had the belt done on our 90bhp w reg,
  19. i reckon 30ish outa of a 90bhp with tuning box
  20. ring em up with the first 3 digits of your engine number, you'll get it in a day or so...
  21. is it not illegal to have HIDS without automatic headlight leveling? I have HIDs on my omega and they rock!
  22. ring german swedish and french, give em the first 3 letters of you engine number, 37.50 +vat + delivery job done.
  23. i use GSF and Eurocarparts - I find sharan parts work - but I have a sharan!
  24. there are some really cool mounts available in the states, they bolt to the seat mounting bolts and give you a tray to strap the laptop to that you can swing out of the way, look a bit tricky to have a front seat passenger though:) Thats why i plan on the touchscreen, can tuck laptop (and inverter!) under passenger seat, small usb hub for screen, gps and extra keyboard / touchpad mouse if required, ta da! portable incar computer/mp3/dvd/tv etc
