Blowing huge wads on silly cars is not something I would recommend anyone doing right now unless you have absolutely no debts and own your property outright with plenty of cash in the bank. One of the catalysts with this bloody mess we are in right now is the "Keep Up With Jones" mentality whereby everyone had to have the best most expensive house on the street, new cars, flash clothes and toys all bought on the never never and 'releasing equity' from their homes - property only goes up remember! Still, at least we have you to thank for keeping the second hand market flush with nearly new motors!

  3. Is 63% off a Ford any worse than 30% off a Range Range in terms of the actual cost to you ? I think you need to take stock of the situation before you make the same mistake again. Perhaps the best course of action would be to keep your cars and run them for many years. After all, they aren't even a year old yet! We spent a few months looking, initially at the S-Max but felt the used prices were still not reflecting what's going on out there in the general economic climate.
