  1. Thanks Jos - I'll give it a look later and let you know how I get on. Yesterday it rained and the leak is just as bad luckly I kept the carpets up. Well some more hope as I had reached a point where I was at loss what to try next. Fingers crossed! Cheers John
  2. Yes I've checked the rear screen hose and that was ok. I've put some sealer round the scuttle drain and inside on the plates etc and I'll try it again later. Cheers John
  3. I've now had the watering can and hose on the car and it seems to be coming from the wheel arch which has a mastic covering on it. The water is coming through the cuts in the mastic cover via a few pin holes. There seems to be a scuttle drain about 2 inches square and this appears to be clear - there is no flap on it though. Although I could seal inside the footwell I'm a bit worried that the water will sit behind this mastic covering and rot it. Any Thoughts welcomed Cheers John
  4. Hi I see other people have had problems with leaks. I've got a 1.9 TDI new shape 2000. I recently found the passenger totally soaked. I had to cut out the under mat rubber & soundproofing stuff and dried it out of a number of days. I found the wheel arch cover was the wrong side so I rectified this and fitted mudflaps. Well luckily I hadn't reffitted the under mat as this morning the water had come in again :( So it looks like possibly via the windscreen. I've take off the under arch plastic and found a bag with foam in the wing (possibly soundproffing) which was soaked. I cannot find the drain hole talked about in earlier posts - older model? Well looks like i'll be out with watering can tomorrow :( Any other tips would be welcommed - I've scanned most of the old emails. Thanks in advance John
