Hi Everyone Here`s update Well tested every wire that goes into central locking I could find the unlock wire but couldnt find lock wire. So went to Maplins and bought central locking kit fitted a motor to drivers side works with the current system so now I have 2 control units coupled up the new remote system to new control module and hey presto new remote central locking system that also uses current moters on car so no messsing about with other doors and if a motor gives up then I have spairs . easy fit and not standard ford system so it can have any alarm system and imobilizer. Thank`s Bleeno so no one as a clue I know if you dissconect the drivers door wiring at door pillar the rest lock. so doing a test means taking the drivers door card off and checking to see which ones control locking from drivers side. I have looked at TIS well confusing is a understatment On google search it came up with a focus wiring list that say`s wich wire is power lock and which is power lock s but its for none UK models but if ford are still the same then they wont have changed any wiring but will check when its a bit warmer. Hi Any help appriciated, I have a 2001 focus and I want to fit my own remote system to car all wires are sorted but trying to find the the wire that locks and the one that closes on locking system. Drove to dealers and whent into office seceratry sat there boss left for holodays gave her copy of invoice now she took 1hr 30 mins to check to see if the company was legal and tax regesterd I did in end have to tell here her how to do it. Update, Had a talk with the dealer he as checked to see what it would cost him if I had returned the vehicle to him, when the problem first appeared which I told him bt records showed I did phone him and was told by his staff that it wasnt covered under warranty. So after a good chat, He as verbaly agreed to meet the cost of half which I agreed was fare "now no laughing" he is going away tomorrow so if I take in a copy of the invoice from gearbox company then is secratary is supposed to give me a cheque for

seatkid do you know my wife ? She as just snarled at me when I told her what I had wrote. So being a obedient husband and as santa is coming soon, then court it will be on monday going to find out about taking him to court never done this before so will go to small claims and ask them.

I phoned the dealer who is 45 miles from us and didnt get any reply`s. so next step I had the car evaluated by other garages close to me and asked the cheaper to go ahead and repair it when they dissmantled it the damage was exessive and thanks to there help it didnt cost me any more but it could have cost me at least

Its easy to say dont worry when you are faced with a loss like this but I will try to help. First if the car is damaged it can be beyond economical repair this means it would be cheaper to pay out total payment instead of repair in this case you can keep the car and repair it yourself now depending whats damaged this can be a simple matter of new wing, light and indicator now if they do it it cost more due to work hour`s and they only " buy the best " crap. now things look bad but many time that is not the case I have repaired them a lot cheaper than what insurance say. Do you not have anyone near you that can look at it and advise you if i did I would gladly come and help. Best regards Alan

ok sound`s daft idea but have you checked the door pin switch. Mine broke when in garage for repair and it too did waht you sayed it did then I noticed that the pin was broke when I repaired it and all started working. Just a thought. Kind regards Alan

Sorry to hear about you accident. Samething happened to me about 15yrs ago just before xmas on a roundabout I was in a automatic car I looked and no car so accelerated then out of nowhere this car appeared too late. He claimed the same and my insurance proved that he must have been speeding to get in front of me in such a sort distance and with witnesses that saw what happened it cost him more. So stick it out you will get through it and as seatkid sayed have Faith and the insurance dont like giving money away so they will use every trick they can to defend you. Kind Regards Alan

Gregers we had to have our two border collies put down and I thought it wouldnt get to me, but it bloody did big time, so, we went out and got two more border collies and now the little darlings can open doors eat my hose pipe while i am trying to was the car and with all there antics we love to bits. When I talked to them they told me that trying to make a case would be hard due to the age of the car, however the car still has to be fit for purpuse, had a word with gearbox company and he sayed that its hard to put a time limit on howlong its been bad but he did say that in his oppion the dealer as to step upto plate.
