Thanks, I had understood that much but was wondering what must be done to undo the pre-tensioner. The steel wire runs under the carpet/sill casing and I would like to know what I have to remove to find the other end.

The saeftey belt on the passenger side is broken. Replacement at local dealer is rather expensive (300+), being the part itself and the labour. I have found the a replacement part at a friendly price and had the winding mechanism unbolted quick enough, but it is also connected to some kind of steel wire. I guess it is the device that makes the belt tighten in case of an accident. How to undo that? Any help is much appreciated.

I have fog lights fitted, but to be honest: they are a pain. They keep splintering up, presumably due to stone chippings. I have stopped replacing them but the broken glass and nowadays rusty inside is an ugly sight. I'd rather have those holes filled with plastic.

I have a 2002 2.0 litre on LPG. It is reliable and spacious but engine performance is poor. Next time, I would go for 2.3 litres or diesel.
