  1. Hi m8 I had similar problem with my aircon, the display flashed a couple of times, when ignition was switched on. When i tried my aircon i could hear a hissing noise behind glove compartrment, so I knew my system was ok, all it needed was a top-up of refridgerant, cost me

  3. ok all hoses i could get to are ok, disconnected pump from car and applied 12 volts, the pump runs fine, not sure how much suction for the vacuum is needed, didnt seem very strong vacuum to me. pedal switches seem ok, the long hose from pedal to pump, not too sure about, i applied a vacuum using my lungs, lol and it seems ok, but maybe thats where the trouble is. dont fancy renewing that if i can help it. any more ideas anyone? cheers
  4. thanks for reply fella's the hose is connected proper. the speed control was working last year, tried it not long ago above 35 mph, but had no luck. so i thought with finding the small hose to the v/pump split in several places that i had found the problem, but it looks like another prob somewhere, maybe the hose is split somewhere else, I will have a look. may be switch on one of the pedals/ keep you posted. thanks again regards
  5. Hi all had problem with my speed control, just got round to looking at it. i have checked the hose to the vacuum pump above the front n/s wheel, the hose was split in several places. i have renewed the hose but still have no speed control? any help thank you.
  6. I unplugged the the control from the car then plugged it back in again, this stopped the display from flashing. but I found the main cause of the fault was the air con was low on refrigerant, so you may need a top-up. hope this helps.
  7. hi i have looked behind grill in front of radiator and there is no vacuum pump there? any more info on where else it might be. regards

  11. hi all i own agalaxy 2.3 ghia, 02 plate. ive lost cruise control. i have took off vacuum tubes to brake and clutch and blew through them to see if i got any resistance when pedals were not depressed those connections seem ok as i got a lot of resistance until i depressed the pedals, i then disconnected the vacuum tube that went back through the car near brake and accelerator and blew through that and found there was hardly any resistance, could this be the problem , ie split in tube. is the pump under the wing on the driver side or passenger side? and is it a big job to refit a new vac tube from pump to under the dash area. thanks :D
  12. thanks for reply ivor does the ford warranty only apply if the car has been serviced with them?. when i bought it m/nation said it had been serviced, all was signed and sealed, i checked the service book, there was no first service stamp, just the second service stamp from a garage by the looks of it at 24500 miles. m/nation says my next service with them is 01 june. shouldnt they have serviced it before it come off the forcourt. regards
  13. hi im having a bit of trouble with my aircon, i bought it last year and only used the aircon several times during the summer. i tried it again last week and its temp reading was 18 to 20c. ive read a few posts about flashing auto temp control etc and this is what happened to me it would flash for about 5 secs. i disconnected battery and the flashing has stopped. when i activate the aircon i can hear a hissing sound in the evaporator in passenger side its intermittent. i can hear the compressor kicking in so there must be enough refrigerant in the system, the fan is turning under the bonnet but im not getting any cool air. i have felt the small pipe leading into the evaporator and that is cold to touch,is there any thing i can look at. it is still under warranty with motor nation, there giving me a free 1 hour diagnostic. after that they will charge
