Outside Temperature Sensor Location
ondra posted a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi, can anybody tell where a would find the outside temperature sensor? I know is somewhere on the bumper , but so far have had no luck.. It's getting cold and my booster heater will not kick in as vagcom says the temp sensor is shorted. Thanks for your help -
Does anybody know if the undertray from MKI will fit MKII galaxy? Mine gal is 115 tdi and it was missing when I bought it. I've been looking for the undertray for a few months now, but no luck with breakers or ebay. There is plenty of MKI being broken but not many MKII...

Radiator Fans Not Working
ondra replied to ondra's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
No steam at all and the oil in the sump looks fine (changed about 1000m ago) I am really confused.. Yesterday on the test drive it blew off the thermostat rubber seal, so it is overpressurized. the water from the expansion is disappearing while the engine is hot, when you open the cap it comes back. Going for a new thermostat now, and will try again. -

I`ve fitted new pump yesterday it looked allright, but changed it anyway, pump is cambelt driven so no slipping ;) .took the thermostat out and flushed the system, no sign of blockage.New thermostat and coolant in the engine. Going for the test drive now.. Is there a way how to test the expansion cap?? Thanks for the reply, will update after test drive. -
Can anybody point me to the right direction where is the temp sensor which switches the fan on. My a/c doesnt work as the pipe from the front rad broke off, but i dont think that would cause the main fan failure.. Connected both fans to 12v supply and they work, so its got to be the switch. Car is getting hot on the motorway and I`ve got only 10 days to my holiday. ;)

N75 Valve Any Pictures
ondra replied to stevestorms's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I, ve had the same problems, and it was a vacuum hose from actuator on the turbo to the N75. If you have got car ramps, you should be able to check the connection from below without taking the undertray off the car. -

Can anyone help me with this fault code from vag-com. Aux heater wasnt working when I bought my Gal (2001 TDI 115bhp), since then I changed glow plug, but heater still not working. Vag-com came up with 01410 heater over temp fault 5x and then 01492 function lock-out. After that the heater is non-functional until vag-com reset.. When I had it apart I noticed small "turbine/fan", could it be faulty? That would me my next guess as the heat has nowhere to go. Anyone???

If I am right, taking off the battery should clear it, but it takes about 48hours.

Stevie m, can you post the name of the seller? I was looking to buy one from ebay...

My gal takes ages to heat up the interior, heater works but only a bit, after 30 min drive checked the aux. heater exhaust and it was slightly warm while under load. I'm going to test the glow plug. thanks for the info! Took me some time to read 21 pages. Now I am ready for action...
