you are right. The resistor pack is behind the glove box on top of the heater trunking. One torque screw to replace.

I have just had the same problem and cleaning and Halfords silicone rubber and plastic spray seems to have does the job. Can anyone answer my query. How does the mecanism know when to stop at the top and bottom? I have just dismantled a spare regulator mechanism and motor but cannot figure it out.
