Even considered turning the USB one into a normal serial one, just looking for detais on how (if its possible)

I been trying to find a serial KLINE cable and all i can find is adapters not interface ones like the USB one I suspect the adapter ones are no good

Thats what i thought I dont have vents in the roof in the back they are on the floor, I do have a dual control that controls back and front fans, I read in my manual that the rear is just recirculated air

Air con was not working before regas, been in need of regas for a long time Original fault code was the presure switch which indicated no/low presure (no gas) this fault code was not showing after regas but then the new code shows. I cleared the fault on the HVAC module and it came back after driving Air con is working fine since regas. Its a dual climate control, they filled it up to 735g , was at zero, added 7cc of oil to the 3 that was there, 10cc total, actually confused about the spec/regas for dual climate, there is a sticker in the engine bay with 2 numbers 1 - 750 and 2 - 1050, does that mean its got 2 parts to refill? Climate display does not flash when i clear the code, but will then flash again after driving.

I have just had my AirCon regassed, My aircon display is still flashing so I checked the fault code with VAG-COM I get 01086 - Speedometer Sensor (G22) 35-10 - - - Intermittent Now I have a Ford TIS manual but for the life of me i cant find where this is Any pointers

Can no one confirm the transponder chip type for this key? - i seen lots and just dont know what type to get

will have to get a replacment HD for my laptop just to put on DOS :-)

Same problem as me, the serpentine belt (alternator belt) is jumping excessivly, if you look at the the belt tensioner while idle, you will see it bouncing alot. This in turn causes the belt to slacken and in turn not power the power steering pump enough and causes the squealling. Solution, get your alternator clutch pulley replaced. (i am working on getting mine done soon) Costs vary for the part, still trying to source one , you will also need the spline tool to remove it or get it to a vw garage as they can apparently do this.

Hi again The PATS chip for the 02 galaxy , i recall seeing it mentioned its a philips transponder. any chance of the part number and a picture... or should i dig out the chip from my flat spare?

Has anyone re-programmed new keys (when only owning 1) with the VAG-COM? I am interested to know as I was considering doing this myself if my dealer will give me the 7 digit SKC code

The bulb bit is the InfraRed transmitter, its like your TV remote. Mk2 is RF (radio frequency) @ Mirez, i would need whole key, transponder and all, thanks though

The two being sold by MrEnigma is me :rolleyes: They are Infrared not RF which is why i am selling them Now i have the correct part number i can keep my eyes open for one. My brother inlaw may have one lying around as he breaks cars and has spare parts everywhere!!

on the MKII you can also turn of the alarm using the manual lock, turn anti clockwise (lock) twice I have to do this because my alarm keeps going off for no reason!!! , need to fix that
