I have just come back to a Galaxy after having a Zafira for 2 and a half years (bad mistake!!!!) I have a 62 Plate Titanium with no DRL's and I want to add some Has anybody had any experience with after market DRL's and could recommend what type/style to purchase I am not going to buy genuine Ford due to the modifications to the bumper and ECU needed so I am looking for some that could fit in the lower grill section maybe Any suggestions much appreciated

Same happened to me, mine died 2 years ago , same thing, had low oil and it caused turbo melt down. Will be getting it back on the road this year , turbo can be bought on ebay for about £250 but will also need gaskets and a oil feed pipe engine flush also needed before you restart as some bits might end up in engine!

OK, I have a new MOT, welding and brake discs all round and rear discs all done (front were already newish). has a few advisories 3 tyres are worn (brand new spare on) will need 4 tyres total Exhaust back box corroded but can be cleaned and treated. Front number plate is cracked but is still readable. NSF brake hose slightly chafed , Will also need tracking doing when tyres replaced. Now its MOT'd and road legal again I am looking for £900 as its a great runner.

New Disc's and pads done

Its 138k miles, needs 2 new tyres and brake discs need sanding or replacing due to being sat for a year. £200 and its on the road but I don't have the time to do this and no where to store it so I am looking for £400 and its yours LED interior lights, white dial kit is awesome and the engine runs beautifully. recon gearbox about 2 years ago so its got to be worth £400 easy I really would love to keep it myself but I have to travel a lot and its no good for me anymore.

Hi All, I have been trying to get the time to do this myself but just never have any! I have a Mk II Diesel Auto with a blown turbo sitting in my front garden, been sat for a long time now so I need to sort out tyres and brakes but the main thing I need to get done is the turbo I do not have any parts so I am looking for a mobile mechanic who can supply and fit a replacement turbo for a 1.9 TDI 52 plate I need a price first obviously , I know could source the turbo from eBay for about £240 for a full recon unit but it might be cheaper access to the car engine is easy and I am in no rush so the mechanic could take time to do it I have a Galaxy Technical manual but its just a time thing! I am also selling my Petrol 2.3 Auto MK II, (see for sale section) I would be willing to trade this for the turbo replacement work if this is acceptable? Thanks in advance

Car is located in Gosport , gearbox was reconditioned - had a new battery, new plugs and coil pack (old coil pack was fine , was changed when it started running odd and I found a spark plug was burnt out so put 4 new ones in and changed coil pack at the same time. I need it gone asap. it needs minor weld , hole under drivers side , cost me £60+vat last mot on near side same size hole in same general area but opposite side and the garage failed to do other side even though it was a advisory when it failed MOT and only needed the welding done to pass will need battery charged which I will do tomorrow, wheel changed to spare as tyre has been flat too long so will need a new tyre. it was a good runner and has plenty of life left in it It is worth a lot for the parts alone thee days. I would take £600 cash for petrol this week, if I put it through MOT I would be looking for £800-£900, has had 5 previous owners and I have a good service history , but not complete.

I have a MK II Auto 51 plate 2.3 Ghia to move Its In need of an MOT , needs new a tyre and a minor weld (small hole under side drivers ), Has white dials and 148k miles Pictures to follow soon Its blue with 4 alloys When I purchased it 2 years ago the seller had the gear box conditioned and I have replaced the power distribution box and cruise control pump It was a good runner but has been sat outside home since I got a Zafira (selling to get MK III next) I have a 52 plate TDI also with a blown turbo sitting in the garden and would either like to trade the petrol and get the TDI back on the road or if a good price willing to sell the TDI TDI is a 1.9 TDI Ghia Blue . flat tyres and been sat for over a year! has built in child seat/booster seats and was a great runner until the turbo went pop! No power loss, runs the same as it has always. Brother inlaw is doing the anti roll bar bushes and drop links next week and will have the belly pan off , said he would check under engine then. Just wondered if there was anything specific that can be checked. Any other ideas? i do suspect a split hose somewhere. I will report after inspection

Hi I have MKII 1.9 TDI '02 - recently when driving i hear a wizzing noise.. its like a jet engine turbine noise and gose up in pitch when the revs are higher. when in stationary and I rev the engine it hardly makes any such noise. Any pointers.. I cannot see any hoses broken. I am told it could be related to the turbo.

Oh i tried to undo... problem is it wasnt changed by me originally and I think they over tightend it... i will do it tho :)

draining is easy but getting that oil filter housing undone is a bugger if its too tight

Sounds like the same sort of pipe and connection used for the rear wash jet. This has come loose on my Galaxy and filled the footwell Killed my parking sensor module under the passenger seat.. replaced it today and I thought I would post a nice pic to show how bad the old one was http://www.enigmaware.co.uk/ebay/IMG_0264.jpg

I did my own service, ALL filters including pollen, pollen is a bugger , got it out with wipers in situ but could i get it back in!!!! Had to dismantle the wiper assembly... Didnt do oil, i have the filter but dont have the gear to drain old oil so looking at taking to a local garage for an oil change and i supply the filter :) Reset service interval is simple on my 2002 plate.. hold trip meter reset in while turning on ignition...

Is there a list anywhere on what you can do with the VAG-COM lead I mean , what can be be changed?

I have a tiptronic auto, never used it - well only to try it out I dont see the need for it myself, but thats me , i have had my MKII for 4 years and never needed it
