Did you have sensors on your pads? My 02 Gal TDi has front left sensor & rear right sensor pads. If your mechanic cut off the sensors then you will end up with brake light on dash. Hope that helps

Hi, Not sure but had a powersurge thus melting the black fuse box & cable connectors (near battery). Although I have sorted this I now have airbag fault on dash, its not flashing. Hmm, Check your leads HT leads I think which run through a black plastic fuse box. If you get a power surge it heats up the plastic box and melts it causing damage to the metal connectors & leads. You end up with no battery charge. I am sure there is something on the site about it. hope it helps

02 TDi Galaxy all seats taken.... Hi folks just to add, my drivers side window stopped working a few months of this irritating, a bit laxxed but hey you know how it is. Anyhow opened the door panels identified using the forum (thanks guys). It was the flimsy plastic holder or bracket thing that holds the two metal pieces holding the glass. Useds loads of double sided sticky tape on the metal holder and tightened the screw carefully.......its working a good few weeks...... Pound land double sided sticky tape good as any...... I will give them a clean. Also, should I take the stereo out to check any thing loose? I am assuming the back should only have the power cable, speaker & aerial oops the cd unit connected. There is power to the unit but as I said earlier the buttons are dead so it could be my can of pop ..... more reasons for the wifey to complain lol..... any other options? kind regards shahed

Hi folks need your help with the stereo Rd5000 galaxy tdi 02. It was working fine but then all the funtion buttons stopped working thus i could not use the CD player. The tape was ok but i was locked onto BBC radio 5... I disconnected the battery hoping it would clear this but now I have no buttons working thus can't put my code in. Any ideas ?

If you can smell diesel inside your car or when parked up pretty much leak. Did you have the fuel filter change recently? it might not be on correctly! it may also be the fuel pump. Have you checked your exhaust for any leaks?

My 2002 1.9TDi Galaxy has just started to do this. Overheating with stop message on the dash, temp going 130 degrees. When you say corrosion over 2 electrodes where are they located on the expnsion tank? I really cant afford to go to the fraud dealers anymore!
