Trying To Ghange Oil
commandomark replied to John Stacey's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
If your on about the big plastic undertray, there are a few bolts located around the edge of the part. Undo them and it will fall off. Best of luck !!!!!! -
I would say its the roll restrictor as well. Its a really easy job to do. You'll probably find the bol has sheared off in the actually bar. remove it and take it to a decent garage and they should be able to get the bolt out for about a tenner. Order a new bolt from fraud, about 8 pounds, and a new bush. Need any more help let me know. Mark

Mine is a Mk1. I changed my exhaust myself, i cut the old one away then had a bit of a punch up with the centre pipe. It was very awkward to get over the rear axle. I found i had to turn it to the side as i shoved it over the axle. Mark

Scuttle Drains Help
commandomark replied to oblique's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi there Not to sure about the other nodels as i have a MK1. Access under the bonnet you cant see the hole as they are located in the far left and right hand corners near the wiper mechanisms. If you put you hand in there and feel around you will feel a small hole. To clear mine i use a wire coat hanger. Scrap as mush of the crap away as you can then i use an old Dyson i have to hoover most of the rubbish away. I then poke the wire hanger down the holes. I then run water down them from a hose pipe. I've never had problems with water ingress so im not to worried about doing it that way. Hope this is of some help. Mark -
Any Police Officers In Here I Need Some Help!
commandomark replied to commandomark's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
If i get the option of doing the course i will jump at it. I do alot of driving for my job and it's sod's law once i get three points they'll clock up. I am so much more carefull now when driving about though. On the motorways rather than going full whack in the fast last i just trundle along at 65. Time is money but time is no use when your dead. One of my collegues died in an accident two weeks ago in his work van. That has made me think about driving even more carefully as well. Poor guy was only 27, hit a fence and from what i've heard something came through the windscreen and killed him. If it hadn't been for that he would of walked away from it with a earfull for crashing his van from our boss. Makes you think though. -

Thanks for your replies! All i got sent was a NIP, a Notice of Intended Prosecution. There is no mention of the fine or any points. I have to fill that out and send it back stating that i was the driver at the time. They will then send me the details of what will happen. Most likely a -
Hi I returned home today to find a letter from the police. I was caught speeding and i remember the time it happened, i thought it was a 40 untill i saw the camera van then realised it was a 30. This is on the NIP form i got sent and I just would like to find out what this means - " contrary to s81 (1) & 89 (1) rtra 84 sch 2 rtoa 88 " I was doing 36 in a 30 zone. Before you all go mad about running kids and old ladies over, it was on a dual carriageway, completely fenced off part of road with no turnings and i did genuinly belive it was a 40 zone. But i was still speeding, no one else to blame. I do alot of driving for my job,40k miles a year, and have never been stopped before. I've been driving for eight years. Not going to contest it or anything but i just wanted to know what is going to happen to me. Many thanks Mark

Done it. First time i've done anything major like this bar spark plugs etc. Piece of cake with the help of a well experienced bro in law  Couple of pints going his way.

Don't know if this has been put on here before but here it is. Racing ride on lawn mowers. This pic is from the 12hr endurance race held at brinsbury in west sussex last saterday night. These slighlty modified machines are capable of speeds up to 50 mph and are not the comfiest things to belt round on!! Teams of three drivers and pit crew compete for 12 hours for this race from 8pm to 8 am. Shorter races are also held throughout the season. Mark
