I recently bought a Spal Remote Control Central Locking kit and set about fitting it this weekend and I've gotten well and truly stuck, cos I'm no genius when it comes to wiring!

Just wondered if anyone had fitted one before and could explain where the wiring should be.

What info do you need? cable colours, positions, where to tap into? you could hit the SEARCH ENGINE as these points have been covered before

Yeah sorry I did a search but couldnt find a definitive answer.

I know that Black to earth. Violet and red connected to a permanent live.

Basically I've got blue, blue/red, blue/black, green, green/red and green/black on the wiring harness and on the actuators the wires are red and blue.

So I'm unsure which ones to connect to the actuators.

It may help if you let us all know what model and year the vehicle is? helps to narrow donw the search through the endless wireing diagramshttp://www.freedomtrailriders.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/paul.gif

Again I must apologise, I think tiredness has set in! My Ford Ka didnt have any form of central locking.

The kit is a Two-Door Lock Kit with AS 80 Remote Entry from spal. Spal universal kit

I would post a link to the wiring diagram as well but unfortunately the only one I can find is from there american site and the wiring colors are different.

I'm not sure cos the kit isnt specific to a ford ka and a previous search brought back a result about a spal kit that was in this section too.

Ok ok lets see if I can word it all to make a bit more sense.

I got the Spal universal central locking kit and thats all easy to wire up (I tested it all and got it working) and I also got the AS 80 Remote Entry to go with it as well but I think I've gotten confused by the remote system wiring. Should it only be wired to one of the actuators and not both? (probably from blue to blue and green to red i reckon) Cos that would make more sense to me that way.
