Hi

Just had cruise control retro fitted to my mk2 tdi by a company called Hazzy Dayz Ltd. Cannot recomend these guys highly enough, they are london based and you can either take your car to them and have it fitted for

For all you drivers out there without cruise control...

 

Get it fitted...saves a fortune in avoiding speed cameras.

 

Makes long journeys so much nicer....I wouldn't buy a car without it.

Now thats strange as i have cruise fitted but hardly ever use it.

I just find the roads too congested to go for any long periods of time at the same speed.

I find I use my cruise control a lot, especially on 'average speed camera' sites along motorways, usually 50mph.

I HAVE TO use M5 south on the Sat morning to go to Cornwal for the week with 25 feet of caravan on the back. :P

I just cant wait.

Should get there in time to come back home :D

BIGGY,theres a cruise control switch on ebay at the moment.

easy way to check rev engine to 200 rpm in neutral and press brake if revs drop you should be ok

also shareware version of vag com lets you check / enable cruise

Hi All,

 

As I'm still in my forum training pants, thought replying to this would be the quickest way to resolve my query.

 

Firstly the creeping bit, I am sooooo glad I found this forum, it's saved me a fortune so far!!! Especially as I'm competant with mechanics, I've managed to beat my dealer's time and cost estimates on every job so far!! I'm sure that's not hard though!!

 

Anyway, to my point, my next project is to get CC fitted, I know I have the FBW throttle, the system is already activated in the ECU, I just need to get the switch, loom and fit it. My only questions are;
