paj Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Is there a way to program the central locking on a Galaxy to lock doors automatically when the vehicle starts moving? (as used to combat car-jacking). My Laguna has this function but my wife's Galaxy does not. Quote

paj Posted January 28, 2008 Author Report Posted January 28, 2008 Someone did have a link for sorting this problem out, but it didn't work. Could someone please post it? Thanks. Quote
gregers Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 yes it can be achieved ive read it on the net somewhere,i think you need to be an absolute whizz with a computer and the relative software, why dont you just get into the habit of pushing the handle in. Quote
joczeze Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Dear Friends Yes it is possibe to do it. After 1 years search for solution, I have now it from several months working perfectly. See the link http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...5016&hl=vds Quote
MrT Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Is this possible using Vag-Com? When I look at channel 3 & channel 4 in adaptation it shows channel not available? I have seen some references to VDS-Pro but I would prefer not to buy another software package and I do not clearly understand the instructions in german or spanish. Is there a simple guide on how to do this? Quote
lazyb5 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 at least your vagcom talks to your central locking mine wont  Quote
MrT Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 It does not talk to controller "35-Centr Locks" as shown on the Vag-Com screen but through "09 Cent. Elec." where it can see the status of the doors etc. Maybe this is the problem, I should be talking to 35 which I cannot? Quote
lazyb5 Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) hmmm i will try tomorrow night on module 9. I was just wondering if the ford diaqgnostic system wds or ids would talk to the central locking module but i cant even find a shareware version. Does anybody know how to use vagcom properly and what all the things do? Edited February 5, 2008 by lazyb5 Quote
joczeze Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Dear Friends In the Galaxy/Sharan/ Alhambra cars the 35 does not exist, it is replaced by the module 09. All of this cars are recognized by Vag-com, if not I Quote
MrT Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Finally I have got this to work. Adaptation in VAG-COM or any other program will not work on my car. The only way I could do this was to directly write to the EPROM of the controller 09 Cent Elec using VDS-Pro (A DOS based program that does not work under Windows) and my VagCom lead To access the EPROM you need a suitable program and need to login to the unit using code 21318 The address you need to write to is 61002 where the default code is 160. BIT 0 (add 1 to default 160) enables some sort of automatic locking but I am not sure what.BIT 1 (add 2) enables the automatic locking above a certain speedBIT 2 (add 4) enables automatic unlocking when removing the key after the engine has been runBIT 3 (add 8) does something with the alarm but I dont know whatBIT 4 (add 16) enables a brief horn beep when lockingBIT 5 (add 32) enables "intermittentes" closing but I am not sure what this isBIT 6 (add 64) enables a brief horn beep when unlockingBIT 7 (add 128) enables "intermittentes" opening but I am not sure what this is The speed at which the door locks in Km/h is at address 60993 and the default value is 14. If anyone can clarify the unknowns it would be of use to me. Quote

NikpV Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 i didnt think that DOS (and so DOS programs) know anything about USB (not heard of any drivers) Quote

Justice Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) What if I were to get a USB to serrial cconverter do you think it would work ?. Edited March 10, 2008 by Justice Quote
MrT Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 A USB to serial convertor would only work if there were DOS drivers for it and I do not think there are. Quote
