jimd Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Hi everyone,We recently had a problem with our Galaxy that when we were going up a hill (not always) she would choke up. This ment having to drop gears to climb the rest of the way. Also now and again she would do the same when on the flat.We had a full service done and then found out that the servo was leaking so this was also changed. The car run well for about a month, but has started choking again, but only now and again. We are going on holiday soon, and hope to use the car, so we have put the car back into our garage, where they hooked up to the diasnostic and the car showed no problems. They took the car out and typical it didnt do anything wrong.Anyone got any ideas? I've only had the car for one year and can't afford another one, please help. Cheers Quote
bigdave982 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Wot car mate?choking, feels like engine cutting out and back on ??I had this on a 90 bhp mk1 tdi and after weeks of bu***ring about traced it to a loose connection in the wires from No3injecter (master injector) recrimped connections end of problem Quote
jimd Posted June 2, 2011 Author Report Posted June 2, 2011 She is a 25 plate 1.9 TDI Galaxy. The car doesnt stop running when I lose the power, I have to drop gear to get up the hill, then the car runs perfect. This doesnt happen all the time. It might be fine one day then only does it once or twice the next.I have read about the ECR blocking? what and where is this. The garage I use is realy good and I trust the guy, but without the problem occuring when he drives it, he cant find anything wrong. Quote
