Hi to everyone as this is my first post.

I have just bought a Blaupunkt Ford Travelpilot DX (i think TP170) of ebay witht he cd and GPS antenna.

This is for my mondeo st220, (2002). Which currently has the Ford 6006e unit.

I know the units are the same in size etc and fittng there is no issue.

im new to sat nav etc so know little to nothing about these.

I looked at the pics of the unit im waiting on, and see it has the areial connector at the back, but where does the gps antenna plug in??

And does anyone know if travelpilot dx has voice control on it?

any info on this unit etc would be a great help. thank you

Can anyone say what cd changer is best to use with the Ford travel pilot, as i dont even know what kind of plug is on the rear, i assume a ford one, but problem is what lead do i need?

I was told that this unit doesnt have the voice guidence, but the have read the manual and it says it does.

Any thoughts and advice is welcome on this subject.

I have a single DIN version very similar to this (has a seperate DVD changer for the Nav disc)

Mine has a standard square Ford connector socket.......uses the same changer as "most" of the other stereos in the Ford range

I have one if you want to try it, but I do`nt have a lead as most Galaxy`s have it already in place between the radio and the rear window "box"
