Power Steering Problem

The power steering on our Galaxy 1.9TDI has developed a problem: When stationary or at very low speed, e.g. parking manouvers, the power steering vibrates/judders. I'm told it is a common fault with the Galaxy, although Ford customer care deny that. Does anyone know the cure please?

Many power steering systems will judder slightly when they are turned to full lock although my current galaxy does not.

Hi, thanks for the welcome, and sorry I omitted useful info: the car is 52 reg Auto, and has done about 75,000 miles.

 

Any info would be most welcome, has anyone else had this problem? Thanks, Fraser

check all hoses for kinks or pinching , or may be air in system , is the fluid level ok ?

i would check the fluid level, may have a leak.
