mike99 Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 I have noticed a seat alhambra locally that has an extra badge on the back.Just in front on the tdi on the bottom right it has 130 in chrome lettering.I was on the phone to SEAT getting some other parts and asked about it but the parts guy said he couldn't find it?Is this an original badge or one that someone has got themselves??I quite fancy one as it looked good.Thanks,Mike. adrianf. Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 If Seat couldnt find it then its probably an aftermarket one.I know some car shops sell chrome letters and numbers for about Quote
mike99 Posted September 14, 2006 Author Report Posted September 14, 2006 when I was ordering my parts he needed the chassis number. so I thought he'd of been able to find it easy enough. Quote
TimsBamma Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 The 130PS Alhambras are badeged as 130TDI, ie the 130 badge is an original item, I've seen them on quite a few cars, have a look on this link for an example http://www.cargiant.co.uk/cars/search3.asp?Id=297608# Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 sell chrome letters and numbers in local factors shop 99p each  Quote
mike99 Posted September 15, 2006 Author Report Posted September 15, 2006 maybe I should tell the dealer thats its a 130 model and they may be able to find it then. Quote
johnb80 Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Why on earth do you want to put 130 on the back of a 115? It won't go faster, there's little difference between 115 & 130 anyway and if it's a go faster thing get the V6 badge. Seems mad to me to try and make a statement about a car which isn't true. johnb80 Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Well at least I'm consistent :P But seriously, what is the point of putting a 130 badge on a 115 ? It just makes me laugh at how shallow such people can be. Regards - J Quote

mike99 Posted September 17, 2006 Author Report Posted September 17, 2006 It adds a bit of individuality to the car as theres not many others the same. Quote
Guest MATT jr Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 im not much for adding additional badges to the car, but i do like how seat write alhambra along the back. MJR Quote
Smilge Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006  Ive put chrome letters NAFC on mine.....People ask me what they stand for..... I reply NOT A F*****G CLUE! :D Quote
Andrew T Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 It adds a bit of individuality to the car as theres not many others the same. You mean there are not many 115s badged as 130s? You're probably right. At the weekend I was looking over a friends 56 reg Bamma Dieseasel, which is badged TDI on the front wing with the DI in red. It's a 2 litre 140BHP which is the only Diesel now available. I noticed it has a cupholder mounted in the off side boot compartment, why did it take them 10 years to get round to fitting that or have Alhambras always had one there?. Quote
