Guest gourmet88 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 hi can anybody help i have a 99ghia x t 2.3 galaxy when i start the car the aircon flashes for about 5 seconds then returns to the normal position i also notice a low hissing noise from the left hand airvent. any help would be great Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Climate control panel flashing means that there is a fault :-((Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.Hissing from airvent may be something to do with the fault. Now you need someone with diagnostic equipment to plug in and find the fault being reported.(surely not a dealer?) Quote
jvernon Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 On my 1999(t) ghiaX 2.8 V6 the display sometimes falshes and always it makes the hissing noise. If the hissing noise is definately coming from the vent then it may be one of the electronic vents is stuck. On my galaxy the noise comes from under the glove box and is continous whilst the air con is turned on. If i press ECON the noise fades away. Quote
Guest Daveb Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 As Ivor said its back to the dealer, you have a fault on the aircon system, My Galaxy went back to the dealer 20 times over a 10 month period with the same problem as you and was only rectified after they had changed almost all the airconsystem parts. And now its been fine. so good luck Quote
