jwilliams Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 How do you get to the near side fog lamp on the MkII? Book says dealer job as you have to remove another component. I am sure some of you clever lot have done it and would rather not risk a trip to the dealer  Quote
Guest peter312 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 According to the TIS it seems you have to partially release the wheelhouse trim panel. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g194/peter312/3-1.jpg Quote

Guest peter312 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I think you're right - I think they have replaced the TIS system. However, I'm happy, cos I got a copy cheap and it still contains all the relevant information. CheersPeter Quote

I do appologise..the thought was on my mind so as tis was being discussed i thought i would ask.If you like i will remove my question And you quoted from a thread that was very way off topic. Quote
Guest HairyPlateEater Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 For fear of taking this even further off topic ..... The other thread in question was on a different planet to this one Tim-Spam. Bringing it back on topic .... you'll need hands the size of a 2 year olds to be able to reach the bulb in the fog light, so removing part of the wheel house trim is the easiest option. Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 you will get the bulbs out easy h move 3 bolts ,that come up the the front bumper of the arch liner which in turn will move the underside of the front bumper in the corner h,you must have hands like pat jennings  :16: :P Quote
Guest HairyPlateEater Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 yeah i know G ... was saying its almost imposible without removing the arch flap Quote
tim-spam Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I have absolutely no problem with a certain amount of deviation from topic - it does, after all, add to the character of this forum. I was in no way being critical of bringing in a discussion about the TIS, Elsawin, etc..- after all, it did sort of follow on - that is usually what threads are all about. What I was being a little sarcastic about, however, was the somewhat high-handed closing of certain threads on the basis of deviation, by one who deviates more than most, so to speak. Let me make this clear..if i close a thread it is never just because of deviation. It is never a solo decision to either close a thread or move/delete posts.Closure of a thread is never done lightly. Yes i know i deviate more than most,,i have admitted it numerous times and have appologised for it. I like to believe that i have not deviated as much now as i used to. I have always said that if anyone objects to a thread being closed then they are to pm myself or Neil. I am not going to comment on the thread you quoted from as it has no bearing on this thread at all. Marian. Quote
Guest HairyPlateEater Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 So therefore the main deviation on this topic was, by self admission, by you Tim-Spam. Seems a bit more hypocritical than sarcastic to me. :P :16: Obvioulsy the best way to discuss topic deviation is to deviate a topic to do so. Makes perfect sense  *Sits back on fence* :P :P Quote

But closing threads with words like 'alright that's enough' (like the participants were children) especially after having been part of the thread may not be the best way of doing it. If the thread is truly getting out of hand, just close it - no need for chastisement or getting the last word in. Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 whats going on with this forum of late  :P :16: Quote
