Mondeo 2.5v6 ?

Hi am thinking of buying a mondeo, well one of two actually but need some advice, one is a Ghia X Estate (2003) 2.5 and the other 2.5 V6 Ghia X Saloon, what's the difference between them in respect of the V6, does it just make it a smoother ride when changing gear and or power increase ? anyone help on this please ?

Going back a few years i had a MK1 Mondy with the 2.5. All i can say is i found the engine to be fantastic. Very smooth, very quiet with loads of torque. Not the fastest V6 on the road but it gave me 3 years trouble free motoring and i would buy one again with worries.

All 2.5 are V6 and i would go for the estate. I had the new shape estate with a TDCI and it was a great car and somtimes wish i still had it.

I thought that all 2.5 Mondeos were V6s. I had a 2002 02 2.5 V6 Zetec S - lovely engine, although I don't fancy the fuel bills now I drive a diesel.
