Electric Window Problem

My driver side window now winds itself fully up and then down halfway after I press the switch for a full close. Switch is double action - partiial or full close. Anyone any idea what the problem might be ? Galaxy is a March 04 Zetec 115 diesel tdi.

Try lubeing the window rubbers! a quick squirt of silicon spray should do the trick? it sounds like the anti trap safey feature is kicking in? possible the resistance of the glass in the rubbers is to much?

I'd echo 3.5s thoughts. Mine does the same thing if the Anti Trap feature is kicked in. Door card off (many post about best way of doing it) and lubricate. First though (as a long shot) check all around the slot that the window slides into at the top of the door for any small foreign objects that might prevent the window from closing completely and therefore activates the anti trap.
