Guest peter312 Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 I was given a lift the other day by a work colleague who drives a VW Golf (Mk 4). The Golf seems to have the same Sat Nav that's available for the Galaxy Mk2. The interesting thing (to me, anyway) was that the route also appeared on the dashboard multifunction computer. If I buy a Ford Sat Nave unit for my car, will it also put the info up on the dashboard 'puter screen? Do I need to buy any extra bits to make it do that? Sorry if this is a stupid question - Sat Nav is a new concept to me. ThanksPeter  Quote
Dally Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 The non sat nav supplied version of the galaxy ghia will not have the right display on your dash to be able to give you the images you indicate. I have factory fit sat nav in my galaxy and the information display is da ifferent dot matrix display fitted in the factory along with the sat nav. Whether this can be fitted retrospectively, I don't know. But it is little things like this display in the dash that makes the factory fit satnav solution that much more useable. Quote
